With reference quality flat low-end response from 200 to 45 Hz, the es-269 is capable of output levels of systems typically twice the size. The es-269 apples VUE’s patent-pending ACM -Active Compliance Management- technology from the hm-class subwoofers, to a new compact even “mini” subwoofer breaking the normal size ratio to SPL output standards. ACM technology combines both band-pass and vented alignments into a single enclosure. The s-269 places two high performance, 6×9-inch transducers into this configuration, with both woofers sharing a common vented chamber. One woofer’s frontal radiation is direct, while the second woofer’s frontal radiation drives the band-pass chamber. Using sophisticated DSP the two ACM subsections combine acoustically precisely aligning the phase arrivals of the front facing woofer, the common chamber vent, and output of the bandpass chamber vent. The powerful amplifier sends 200W of pure sine wave power (350W “burst”) with a unique optimized signal to each woofer. The combination of 700 watts of burst power produces over 124 dB peak output in a half space environment (ground stacked). The combination of ACM, precision-engineered transducers, and sophisticated electronics allows the s-269 to deliver much higher output throughout its operating bandwidth from a remarkably small enclosure. In addition, broadcast-specific features include a complete 5.1 monitor matrix with 48 x 6 source to speaker selection; mutli channel folding; user defined stem order selection; Mix Minus busses (one per mono channel); backstop PFL (over press) and Auto PFL; and Audio Follow Video implementation.  Scratching the surface A combination of technologies have been seamlessly integrated into the SD7B's worksurface to meet the everyday needs of any engineer. We've managed to pack them into three user-friendly interactive 15-inch high-resolution touch screens, each of which accommodates a bank of 12 faders,  to provide the user with the perfect platform – everything is just 'where it should be'. To make navigation even easier, we've added high-definition interactive meter bridges and multicoloured knobs and switches; and for further functionality and flexibility, 16 assignable faders (one bank of 12, one bank of four) sit neatly below the master screen in the centre of the console, taking the SD7B's fader tally to a sizeable 52. To increase the fader count further for multi-engineer applications and shows, an EX-007 Fader Expansion unit is available. Two EX-007s can be connected via a simple Cat5e connector for remote control or simply to increase your fader count to 100.

In creating Quantum, we wanted to guarantee that our customer base could maintain a return on their historical investment by providing them an affordable engine upgrade for their existing work surface.  We needed to make the next major technological step forward, into generation seven FPGA technology, and that's what Quantum has done. The Dante card allows 64 channels tobesentto/ received from a Dante network. As well as providing audio exchange with other Dante-enabled equipment, the card also allows 64 channels of audio to be connected directly to a PC or Mac computer for recording or processing, by using a standard Ethernet connection*.  Routing and setup of the network is done using an external computer running Dante Controller software (available FOC from the Audinate website). A BNC sync output connector on the card allows the console’s wordclock input to be driven by the network clock, if required by the clocking setup.

The 17” multi-gesture touchscreen gives access to all of the console’s functions, and combines with Quick Controls in the Fader Tile to provide intuitive, immediate hands-on hardware control. The integrated tablet device stand combines with the newly released version of SSL’s TaCo tablet control application to offer an additional control interface for channel or Effects Rack processing.
