Red 8Line has a total of 58 inputs and 64 outputs, including two Red Evolution mic pres, independent L/R monitor outs, eight balanced line inputs and outputs on DB25 connectors; 32 channels of Dante I/O; 16-channel ADAT input and output (at 48kHz), and stereo S/PDIF input and output. As with other Red interfaces, it features professional-grade 24-bit/192kHz A-D and D-A conversion for no-compromise, mastering-quality recording and audio playback. With 119dB dynamic range A-D and 121dB dynamic range D-A (A-Weighted), the converters have been expertly selected and calibrated by Focusrite to provide the best balance of sound quality, dynamic range and conversion latency.

The two digitally controlled Red Evolution mic preamps are the product of decades of Focusrite’s impeccable attention to detail in designing audio hardware. Each preamp provides up to 63dB of ultra-clean gain, with individual phantom power, high-pass filter and phase reverse, and an option to stereo-link the two channels. The switchable Air mode mimics the sonic profile of the famous Focusrite ISA 110 input module and breathes life into any signal it touches.

With two Thunderbolt 3 ports as standard, it’s also possible to daisy-chain Thunderbolt devices, such as third-party plug-in accelerators, hard drives, external 4K displays, processing units and Thunderbolt hubs.

In addition to Thunderbolt 3 and Pro Tools HD connectivity, the on-board Dante connection enables Red 8Line to communicate with industry-standard Audio-over-IP equipment from hundreds of manufacturers. Dante makes it easy to expand your system, embrace new ways of working, and discover rapid system expansion using Focusrite RedNet interfaces or devices from third parties such as Neve, Yamaha and DigiCo.

Red 8Line has built-in monitor control for mono, stereo and multi-channel monitoring environments up to 7.1. Compatibility with the new Focusrite RedNet R1 desktop remote controller allows even greater flexibility, and customised presents for immersive monitoring environments including Dolby Atmos®.

Other features of the Red 8Line include precision metering and display: the interface has three LCD displays for highly accurate level metering for any input or output block, as well as main monitor and headphone outputs. Two discrete high-fidelity headphone outputs are powerful enough to deliver loud and clear audio on high impedance headphones and are controlled from the interface front panel. The AVN-AESIO8 audio converter and interface converts up to eight digital stereo AES3 inputs and eight digital stereo AES3 outputs to and from the Dante Audio-over-IP networking standard. Each input can accept sample rates from 32kHz to 192kHz, which will be sample rate converted to the Dante system sample rate. A valid input signal is confirmed by front panel AES3 lock LEDs for each input. All outputs follow the Dante system sample rate.

The Model 5482 Dante Bridge provides a high-performance means of interconnecting ("bridging") Dante audio-over-Ethernet channels associated with two independent local-area-networks (LANs) or Dante domains. The unit is compatible with the Dante Domain Manager^™ (DDM) software application and is complaint with the AES67 technical standard. The Model 5482 allows up to 64 audio channels to pass in each direction. Internal sample rate conversion (SRC) capability provides sample rate, bit-depth, and timing conversion to ensure that audio signal integrity is maintained.

The M2T half-rack transmitter houses two stereo transmitters to provide two stereo audio channels, and for up to four mono audio channels in a single rack space. The audio inputs can be individually configured to be analog or Dante compatible. The analog input connectors are full-size XLR/TRS combo types for balanced line-level analog signals while the input preamp circuits use a special balanced amplifier with very high common mode rejection to minimize hum and noise.

A Dante™ Ultimo™ interface via dual RJ45 connectors accepts Dante networked audio inputs and can daisy chain the digital stream to additional units via CAT6 cables. The A168D Stage is a portable 16 input 8 output I/O Expander, again using the Dante network protocol to provide additional I/O anywhere on a network. It comes with 16 mic preamps on XLR inputs with Phantom Power status LEDs and 8 XLR line outputs with direct preamp control from the 4REA4 controller software. It runs at 48k and 96k and is AES67 compatible. Primary and secondary ports again come with locking EtherCON connectors and can run in redundant or switched mode.

The A164D Wall LCD is a 16 input 4 output I/O Expander that uses the Dante network protocol to provide fixed, additional I/O anywhere on a network and is designed for wall or floor mounting. It comes with 16 Mic Preamps on XLR inputs with Phantom Power status LEDs and four XLR Line Outs with direct preamp control from the 4REA4 controller software. It can run at both 48K and 96k sample rates and it is AES67 compatible. Primary and secondary Dante ports come with locking EtherCON connectors and can run in both redundant and switched mode. All LCD labels are dimmable and can be customised using Dante controller software.

Using a modern, full-featured Bluetooth 5.0 chipset allows the xIO Bluetooth to offer extended range, a stable connection, and world-class audio quality. Available in US/EU form factors, the xIO Bluetooth has a clean, sleek design compatible with standard single gang US wall boxes with Decora faceplates, as well as EU/UK standard wall boxes.

IP/PoE simplify installation by allowing a single cable from the xIO Bluetooth to a PoE enabled network switch. The xIO Bluetooth may be configured for media-only, phone bridge, or both, and can be controlled using Symetrix remotes, SymVue panels, or third-party control systems.

DANTE 8i8o is an 8-in 8-out cobranet network audio interface machine. It follows the DANTE network audio standard to meet high-demand professional audio signal transmission. Supports 8-channel microphone/line analog audio input and 8-channel balanced analog signal output. Each input channel supports independent 48V phantom power supply and independent gain control. The open TCP/IP and RS232 control protocols allow third-party software to control the analog gain and 48V switch.
