AEQ – KROMA Series 8000

Series 8000 user intercom panels have been designed to provide broadcast quality audio and to be used with the digital technology of Conexia and CrossNET matrixes. Audio is captured and processed at 48kHz, with 24 bits/sample, providing full audio bandwidth with negligible noise and distortion levels. Ease of installation has also been taken into account, featuring a redundant IP port that handles high-quality DANTE™ -format audio and also compatible with AES 67 standard. Audio is digitally processed to cancel acoustic echo and automatically compensate for voice level and particular speech habits of each operator. Acoustics has been seriously engineered to reach the highest possible intelligibility and sound clarity.

NOA – N7000c

Featuring groundbreaking implementations such as Bitproof Support and the revolutionary Dante Interface, the N7000C is the most advanced technology in the field of professional audio hardware, while fully supporting the well-established high quality industry standards and providing the archive community with additional tools. The N7000c provides a single high-quality interface that accepts up to four concurrent connections to analog replayer devices and delivers outstanding dynamic range, classic preamp modelling, Bitproof™ support and many other advanced features for the audio archive professional. The exceptionally wide feature set and convenient form factor set the N7000c apart as a versatile and cost-effective solution for high quality audio transfers. The N7000c is the first interface of its kind to offer the security of Bitproof™ control, a feature in conjunction with NOA Record which eliminates interstitial errors by creating checksums in the DSP of the N7000c and comparing them against the written soundfile, and it can connect simultaneously with up to four replay devices of different types, such as record decks, reel-to-reel tape decks,  Archéophone, and other analog players. Connections to player devices can be via RS232, 9pin and CAT5 through the integrated DANTE interface, which allows users to connect the laptop to the network to get eight uncompressed 192kHz LINEAR streams without needing PCI cards. With its outstanding 122dB dynamic range, the N7000c handles typical archival transfers without requiring gain readjustment, and leaves more than enough foot- and headroom. Dynamic adjustments can be left to simple server side normalisations which can be done without raising the noise floor in the analogue domain, making transfer workflows much more efficient.

Studio Technologies – Model 5205 Mic/Line to Dante Interface

The Model 5205 Mic/Line to Dante Interface is a general-purpose audio device that supports applications utilizing the Dante® audio-over-Ethernet media networking technology. The Model 5205 Mic/Line to Dante Interface is a general-purpose audio device that supports applications utilizing the Dante® audio-over-Ethernet media networking technology. Two analog microphone or line-level audio signals can be connected to the Model 5205. They are amplified as required and then converted to digital audio channels on an associated Dante connection. With the inherent interoperability of Dante, the Model 5205 can be used with other Studio Technologies Dante-enabled products or a multitude of devices from many other manufacturers. Microphone or line-level balanced analog audio signals are connected using two 3-pin XLR connectors. The gain of the associated preamplifier circuitry can be selected for 0, 20, 30, 40, 50, or 60 dB. P48 phantom power is provided to support condenser microphones. LEDs display the status of the gain and phantom power functions. Multi-step LED meters provide confirmation of the level of the two Dante transmitter (output) audio channels. The gain of the preamplifiers and on/off status of the P48 phantom power sources can be selected locally using the pushbutton switches. They can also be monitored and selected remotely using the STcontroller application. The audio quality of the Model 5205's two audio channels is excellent, with low distortion, low noise, and high headroom. Careful circuit design and rugged components ensure long, reliable operation. A wide range of applications can be supported, including TV, radio, and streaming broadcast events, corporate and government AV installations, and post-production facilities. The Model 5205 requires an Ethernet connection to supply both the data interface as well as Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) power. This requires an Ethernet connection from a PoE-enabled Ethernet switch. Alternately, the Model 5205 can be powered by an external midspan PoE power injector. Key Features

These new QFlex life safety models are specifically intended to optimise voice reinforcement, and as a result make them more affordable, and therefore applicable, to a wider range of projects.  The QFlex 32LS contains a combination of 4-inch and 3-inch low frequency drivers, distributed over the equivalent length of the QFlex 48, and an eight-way tweeter array of 1-inch drivers. Each driver is individually powered by one of 32 discrete channels of integrated 100 Watt (RMS) Class D amplification and DSP.  The QFlex 32LS offers a horizontal dispersion pattern of 120 degrees and a vertical range of between 5 and 100 degrees, along with a beam steering range of ±70 degrees. Low frequency control is effective down to 200 Hz even with the fewer number and increased spread of drivers that are required for the power saving essential in the life safety environment

Each of the 16 drivers is controlled by its own discrete channel of 100 Watt (RMS) Class D amplification and cutting edge DSP, the reduced driver count and wider spacing enabling a 50% reduction in power consumption. The QFlex 16LS provides a beam steering range of ±40 degrees with effective low frequency control down to 230 Hz. Dispersion is nominally 120 degrees horizontal and a vertical range of between 5 degrees and 100 degrees, either symmetrical or asymmetrical.

The VNET2 Dante Bridge allows VNET2 devices to be seamlessly integrated into Dante systems with the minimum of fuss. Analog outputs also allow the Dante Bridge to be used with products that do not have VNET2 Interfaces, such as 1st generation VNET speakers and SC1 controllers. The three primary uses for the Dante Bridge are:
  • Dante audio to AES3 conversion with VNET control (for use with VNET2 equipped products – currently only Tannoy QFlex)
  • Conversion of Dante audio to analogue audio with VNET™ control (for use with VNET equipped products)
  • Conversion of Dante audio to analogue audio (for Dante break-out to any product with analogue inputs)
  • I/O Interfaces
