Focusrite – RedNet D16R

The RedNet D16R MkII is a 16-channel bi-directional AES3 interface for Dante® networks. The 1U rackmount device features individual input and output channel level controls, allowing for precise calibration and control of all input and output levels using RedNet Control. RedNet D16R MkII features power supply and Ethernet redundancy with auto switchover in case of failure.

Various connection options make RedNet D16R MkII a flexible addition to any Audio-over-IP system. A pair of DB25 multipin connectors each connect eight channels of AES3 I/O into and out of the interface, while XLR and RCA ports enable two-channel AES3 and S/PDIF connections, respectively, to be made.

Sample rate conversion on every input enables external equipment to operate at different sample rates, and DARS signals are accepted on the XLR connector. Word Clock I/O on BNC connectors allows synchronisation to house clock, or syncing external equipment to the Dante network.

Sennheiser – EM6000 Dante

Higher channel density with maximum signal reliability at the same time: Digital 6000 is intermodulation-free and assures through its equidistant frequency grid excellent spectral efficiency and the simplest frequency configuration– even in the toughest frequency environments where other systems already fail. Error correction and audio error masking recognize and fix problems long before they even become audible. When it comes to setup and the user interface, the EM 6000 stands out for clarity, relevance and short pathways.

Digital 6000 can be seamlessly integrated into existing digital or analog infrastructures. The EM 6000 receiver has a digital AES-3 output with word clock inputs and outputs, high-quality transformer-balanced analog XLR and 6.3 mm jack outputs as well as a 6.3 mm headphone output. The Dante™ version with an Audinate Brooklyn ll card additionally offers two Amphenol RJ-45 connectors for integrating the receiver into a Dante™ network, for redundant networks or daisy chain cabling.

Whether we’re talking about reducing information down to the really meaningful key values or smart menus on a high-contrast OLED display, every operating element is a result of practical experience and designed for practical use. All the vital parameters are summarized in one view. Important functions can be reached directly via home screens without long navigation paths. The auto-setup enables scanning and frequency distribution to all connected devices directly via the receiver; naturally Digital 6000 can also be monitored and configured via the Wireless System Manager (WSM).

The EM 6000 is compatible with UHF Sennheiser antenna systems.

SSL – MADI-Bridge

The MADI-Bridge is a broadcast specification bridge between the MADI audio format and Dante. It is a bi-directional interface that can deliver 64 channels @ 48kHz (32 channels at 96kHz, 16 channels @ 192kHz). MADI-Bridge ‘Split Mode’ enables 2 x 32 channels @ 96kHz streams to be merged to form a single 64 channel @ 48kHz stream.

MADI-Bridge also features bidirectional sample rate conversion between any asynchronous sample rates, from 44.1kHz to 192kHz. MADI-Bridge features redundant PSU, MADI and IP Network ports and in addition to the inbuilt clock redundancy options in Dante Controller, the MADI-Bridge also includes a pair of redundant sync inputs for use as a self-redundant Dante Grand master clock. 32bit MADI control tunnelling allows a pair of MADI-Bridges to be used to pass audio and user bits (including control data) of a whole MADI stream across a network.

Wohler – OPT-DANTE (iAM)

Enable monitoring from up to a 64ch Dante™ Input in iAM Series products.

Installing a Wohler unit with the Dante hardware option into an existing and functioning Dante network is virtually plug and play. The iAM Series rear panel AoIP jack supports 1Gb/s and 100Mb/s Ethernet devices in Dante Audio over IP network configurations. Channel source selections are made by choosing Input Type ‘AoIP’ in the Configuration-Configure Presets page regardless of which AoIP option is installed. The iAM-series unit is set up at the Wohler factory to be used as a slave rather than a master within the Dante network. Other devices or software, such as a Dante Controller, are expected to be responsible for most device configurations and all audio routing.

AMIX – SNA50-3R

SNA50-3 is a global limiter. The technology used for the sound limitation does not degrade the signal dynamics at all, as a traditional compressor would do.

The pressure measurement by the acoustic sensor is transmitted to the computer which integrates the modulation peaks with a progressive slope, adjustable in rise and fall time.

• Balanced inputs/outputs compatible unbalanced.

• Limitation in global level.

• Limitation either by acoustic sensor or by electrical analysis of the input signal to SNA50-3, while keeping the acoustic level measurement for the history.

• Visualization of the levels and parameters on a touch screen on the front panel.

• Real-time display of the Leq1s in global level.

• Choice of A and/or C weighting for the acoustic analysis of the global level, the C weighting allows the bass to be taken into account.

• Recording of global levels: LAeq 1min, LAeq 10min, LAeq 15min, LCeq 1min, LCeq 10min, LCeq 15min, LpcC1min max.

• Automatic summer/winter time change-over.

• Embedded web server for history consultation and setting equipment.

• No specific software required.

• The internal memory is sized to store sound level values 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 6 months.

• USB Host connector allowing the connection of a USB key for history collection.

• Fire contact with audio level attenuation > 40dB.

• Acoustic and electric auto-verification of the measuring sensor.

Glensound – Virgil BC

Virgil was the Roman poet who guided Dante through Hell and Purgatory, the Glensound Virgil is a clever little headphone amplifier for providing crystal clear audio into studio & broadcast headphones.

Packaged in a small & robust format and designed to be permanently mounted in studios wherever a headphone circuit is required, the Virgil provides a simple interface between Dante network audio systems and users headphones.

The Virgil encompasses our unique headphone amplifier circuit which automatically provides the correct output level to match the impedance of the attached headphones (to produce the same volume high impedance headphones require a much greater output level than low impedance).

Virgil receives 2 x audio circuits from a Dante network and routes one to the left and the other to the right channel of the headphone amplifier. A front panel volume control allows the user to adjust the output volume.

Three mounting holes are supplied to enable the Virgil to be mounted underneath a studio desk in a suitable location for the users headphones. Needing just 1 single network cable to carry both power & audio to the Virgil makes installation very simple.

As well as being suitable for low & high impedance headphones our unique headphone amplifier circuit can be connected to both stereo headphones & mono earpieces, making the Virgil suitable for driving television presenters ear pieces.

Glensound – Beatrice W4

This device uses Audinate's Ultimo Chipset, which can receive 4 incoming audio channels, each at 48kHz. However, this chipset can only receive these 4 audio channels from a maximum of 2 network locations (2 different devices). This is common with any manufacturer that uses this chipset.

The Beatrice W4 is a single user interface for the Beatrice system, designed to mount flush on a wall or into a desk. it is a useful intercom position allowing two way communication to be possible at standing levels whilst mounted into walls, or at desk level if mounted on a Desk.
