Dynacord – PowerH 2500

The power amp H2500 is part of Dynacord’s new PowerH SERIES, which marks a milestone in the design and the production of high-performance power amplifiers. The power amp H2500 is part of Dynacord’s new PowerH SERIES, which marks a milestone in the design and the production of high-performance power amplifiers. The innovative 3-stage Grounded Bridge Class H Topology with “floating” switching power supply unit offers very high and stable output with extreme high efficiency on an extremely high performance level at minimum weight. PowerH amps are ideal for driving professional touring, high-end Concert-Sound and Pro-Sound applications. Next to classical protections, this new design employs the multi-stage ATP system (Advanced Thermal Protection) for the first time, which in most cases prevents the power amplifier from switching off when the temperature exceeds a critical level. The newly designed MCS system (Mains Current Supervision) prevents power amplifier breakdown caused by the activation of the automatic circuit breaker. For this, among other things, the MCS system uses the highly precise measurement of the RMS value ofthe actual mains current consumption. Information about the status of the power amplifier and its internal protections is provided on a LC-display. By utilizing the optionally available remote control module that is compatible with IRIS-Net™, this power amplifier additionally offers comprehensive remote monitoring and remote control functions plus a universal 2-channel digital audio controller (DSP) including highly precise FIR-filtering and digital speaker protection algorithms.

Rane – HAL EXP7x

The Rane EXP7x Expander for the HAL1x provides eight channels of full-featured, drag and drop Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC). Each channel of AEC can be added to any HAL1x system input and route to any Halogen DSP block, including the gain-sharing automixer, manual mixer, regular Room Combine block, or Conference Room Combine block. Chain up to 32 EXP7x units to a HAL1x for 256 assignable AEC channels. Because EXP7x AEC channels are not associated with a particular hardware input, preset recall can re-assign an AEC resource across inputs / rooms as required. Drag and drop AEC supports the typical one-AEC-per-microphone configuration. With optimum acoustics, mic and loudspeaker placement, or with rarely used mics (such as audience mics) it allows mixing more than one mic into a single AEC channel, significantly reducing cost.

The EXP5x is a 12 Mic/Line/Line-Plus input & DSP expander for the HAL1x. It also supplies four DR ports, useful for adding source selection and/or volume control remote controls. Each of the 12 inputs independently supports either dynamic mic, 48V phantom mic, +4 dBu line-level, or Rane’s Line-Plus input. Line-Plus accepts -10 dBV unbalanced Left/Right Monoed together on the “+” and “–” ports, respectively. For stereo unbalanced sources, Line-Plus allows connecting the stereo RCA left tip conductor to the “+” terminal, the RCA right tip to the “–” terminal, and both RCA shields to the EXP5x Euroblock ground. Select Line-Plus in Halogen and you get a properly monoed audio channel.

Rane – HAL EXP3x

The EXP3x is an 8-channel analog output & DSP expander for the HAL1x (required for operation). The EXP3x is an 8-channel analog output & DSP expander for the HAL1x (required for operation). Two RAD ports make it a 4-input, 12-output audio device — depending on which two RADs are connected. Thus, 32 daisy-chained EXP3x Expanders provide 256 discrete zone outputs maximum, including output compression, parametric EQ, two levels of paging and background music. Also, eight logic outputs and six DR remote ports are included. Therefore, 32 daisy-chained EXP3x Expanders would provide 64 RAD ports, 192 DR ports and 256 logic outputs. The dedicated DSP for each of the eight analog outputs offers two signal processing choices independently selectable per output. When you need background music, paging and emergency paging on an output, select the Zone Output processing set. This provides a Zone Processor block, and an Emergency Zone in addition to a Compressor and a 5-band parametric EQ with high- and low-cut filters. When Line Output is selected, the compressor and parametric EQ are available without the zone processing block and emergency paging blocks.

Soundcraft – Vi6

Now firmly established on riders and in performance venues around the world, the Soundcraft Vi6™ has been acclaimed as one of the most ergonomic, user-friendly and best-sounding large format digital console around. Now firmly established on riders and in performance venues around the world, the Soundcraft Vi6™ has been acclaimed as one of the most ergonomic, user-friendly and best-sounding large format digital console around. Audio quality is assured thanks to the integration of a proven DSP engine and algorithms from sister company STUDER, who's digital broadcast consoles like Vista™ and On-Air 3000™ are highly respected in national, state and independent broadcast studios and OB trucks throughout the world. Ergonomically, the Vi6 offers a wonderfully inviting user experience, thanks to the patented Vistonics™ II 'knobs-on-glass' channel strip interface. As another innovation from STUDER, Vistonics™ provides an incredibly tactile 'where you look is where you control' operating philosophy which combines the speed of access and visibility of controls of an analogue desk with the power of icon-based graphics and fully recallable settings that can only come from a digital console. The provision of 32 input faders plus a 12-fader master section makes changing layers much less frequent, enhancing the speed of operation, and world-class effects and processing from Lexicon and BSS completes the picture. The Vi6 offers connectivity to almost every type of digital audio format out there, via integration of Studer's D21m modular IO system, and comes complete with a modular remote Stagebox with a choice of either optical or copper connection to the main console.

Soundcraft – Vi2

The Soundcraft Vi2 is equipped with one channel section of 8 input faders, and the master section which holds 12 faders. The Vi2 can handle as many inputs as a Vi4 or Vi6 (96 channels) using the standard stagebox and local rack hardware, with access to 8 inputs at a time on the channel bay. Soundcraft now offers a Vi Series control surface for applications where space is very tight. The new Soundcraft Vi2 inherits all the basic functionality of its larger brothers the Vi4 and Vi6, but measures just 850mm in width, around half the size of a Vi6. By simply touching the input meters on the Vistonics™ screen of the master section, control of those inputs is brought onto the channel faders, along with all the channel functionality such as EQ, auxes, groups etc. In addition to the meter selection, three fully customisable layouts of the 8 input faders are available via the user-defined fader page feature. The Soundcraft Vi2 will therefore appeal to anyone who wants to use a Vi console but has more limited space than usual in which to operate. For example, it could be easily brought in at stage side for monitors alongside an existing console at festivals, or in corporate events where input access is less demanding than a multi-piece live band. The Vi2 is also suitable for use as a space-efficient spare console, and as an easily transportable training or programming unit. The Vi2's Show files are fully compatible with Vi4 and Vi6 consoles, and also with the Virtual Vi Offline Editing software. All the usual processing is accessible via the Local Rack, and even the 30-band graphic EQ's are available, by using a paging system, accessed via the 8 output section faders. The Soundcraft Vi2 provides a cost effective and useful accessory for existing Vi4 and Vi6 owners, who can use a Vi2 surface with their existing racks, which helps maximise rental inventory usage so that Vi console systems can be used on both large and small scale productions.
