Alcorn McBride – BinloopX

The BinloopX is a modular multi-channel Audio/Video platform designed to handle all of your high-quality synchronized playback needs.

The industry’s favorite synchronized A/V player has been completely reengineered with our X-Series architecture to be the ultimate A/V platform for themed attractions. By leveraging the power of our industry-standard show control engine and the precision of our advanced SyncCore synchronization system, the BinloopX integrates seamlessly with the Alcorn McBride ecosystem of products. This makes it the perfect solution to add high-quality A/V playback to any attraction.

The BinloopX itself is a 3U chassis complete with redundant power supply, BX-CON1 control module, TFT status displays, and 8 slots that can be used to install A/V modules as needed. The BX-CON1 control module is equipped with our X-Series show control platform and SyncCore system, which provides extremely versatile control features and precise synchronization with other attraction systems via PTP, NTP, GPS, SMPTE LTC or Genlock. This system also provides sample-accurate audio clocks and frame-accurate video clocks for all A/V modules installed within the BinloopX chassis.

With BX-16A audio modules, a single BinloopX chassis can provide up to 128 outputs of 24-bit 48kHz uncompressed audio with up to 512 tracks of audio playback that can be mixed to those outputs. Outputs are provided using Dante and AES67 network audio for easy integration. These modules can be installed as needed to scale the capabilities of the BinloopX to meet the needs of your attraction.

Experience the ultimate in audio and video playback with Alcorn McBride reliability.

Alcorn McBride – RideAmp

RideAmp is a high-powered audio amplifier that is purpose-built for on-board applications like dark rides, coasters, trams, and parades. RideAmp is a high-powered audio amplifier that is purpose-built for on-board applications like dark rides, coasters, trams, and parades.  At Alcorn McBride, we are dedicated to creating tools that enable attraction designers to completely immerse guests in the themed world that they have envisioned.  When it comes to high-profile attractions, ride vehicles with on-board audio systems often play a key role in this vision. RideAmp is the industry’s first high-powered audio amplifier that has been specifically designed for vehicles used in themed attractions.  It provides 4-channels of amplification capable of delivering a formidable 350W of output power per channel.  Want to breath a little extra life into those large subwoofers or bass transducers?  Simply bridge outputs to achieve up to 700W of bone-crunching output power. When combined with the incredible capabilities of RidePlayer, RideAmp delivers features never before seen in a vehicle amplifier.  This includes Dante/AES67 network audio input for all-digital signal distribution, protecting your audio experience from the electrical noise introduced by the motors and actuators in the vehicle.  This same connection also enables intelligent control and status monitoring, allowing you to report the health of the entire on-board audio system to maintenance staff without requiring direct access the vehicle. RideAmp delivers the performance and quality of a professional amplifier from a compact and rugged package that’s tough enough to survive a coaster.  Vibration-resistant design, efficient DC power input, locking gain knobs, rugged connectors, and flexible mounting options make this product ideal for even the toughest on-board audio applications.

Alcorn McBride – RidePlayer

RidePlayer provides an elegant solution to many of the unique challenges encountered with implementing vehicle-based (“on-board”) audio and show control for themed attractions. RidePlayer provides an elegant solution to many of the unique challenges encountered with implementing vehicle-based (“on-board”) audio and show control for themed attractions.  The most significant of those challenges is the ability to precisely synchronize on-board audio with wayside audio, video, lighting, animatronics, etc.  RidePlayer accomplishes this by providing a state-of-the-art synchronization system that can use one of several methods to maintain lock between on-board and wayside systems.  Those methods include GPS (which can be distributed with repeaters for indoor applications), SMPTE (which can be transmitted wirelessly), Video Genlock, and IEEE-1588 (CIP Sync). Another significant challenge is the ability to trigger and monitor important sub-systems like animation controllers, PLCs, RFID scanners, and other miscellaneous equipment.  RidePlayer overcomes this challenge by integrating the power of Alcorn McBride V-Series control into the same hardware platform.  This means the capability to interface to just about any device including PLCs, animation controllers, sensors, lighting systems, video servers, and our ShowTouch panels. Of course, the primary purpose of this device is to provide high-quality audio playback so it has a wide-range of features to suit that requirement well.  It will be capable of sourcing up to 16 outputs of 24-bit 96kHz uncompressed audio with the ability to route, mix, and crossfade between tracks.  At 24-bit 96kHz, each output will have up to 4 layers of polyphonic playback capability.

Alcorn McBride – Binloop

The Digital Binloop is the industry standard for theme park audio reproduction. It provides up to 32 tracks of Digital Audio in a compact, economical, and highly reliable package designed for continuous daily use with no maintenance. It plays 16 and 24-bit WAV or AIFF files at up to 96KHz, or MPEG-2 video at up to 15Mbps. Each cage accommodates up to 16 reproducer cards. Audio or video clips are stored on Compact Flash media, so there are absolutely no moving parts to wear out. Each card can hold hours of audio. Simply copy files— thousands of them, if you like — from your PC to the CompactFlash card. Monophonic audio files can be independently assigned to the left and right channels of each reproducer, so the 32 tracks really are completely independent. The primary difference between the Digital Binloop and other audio playback systems is its awareness of show synchronization and control issues. It locks to NTSC or PAL video sync, and reads or generates linear timecode at many different SMPTE and EBU rates. Controlling a Digital Binloop is amazingly simple. It responds to contact closures, RS-232, MIDI, and Ethernet — all simultaneously! Reproducer cards or whole Binloops can be grouped to respond to the same command, allowing a single event to control hundreds of tracks. Unbalanced, balanced and digital AES/EBU audio outputs are standard. CobraNet, Dante, and AES67 network audio output options are also available to make audio distribution a breeze. If you don’t need 24-bit audio, you may also want to consider our A/V Binloop a similar product for less demanding installations.
