Audio quality is assured thanks to the integration of a proven DSP engine and algorithms from sister company STUDER, who's digital broadcast consoles like Vista™ and On-Air 3000™ are highly respected in national, state and independent broadcast studios and OB trucks throughout the world. Ergonomically, the Vi6 offers a wonderfully inviting user experience, thanks to the patented Vistonics™ II 'knobs-on-glass' channel strip interface. As another innovation from STUDER, Vistonics™ provides an incredibly tactile 'where you look is where you control' operating philosophy which combines the speed of access and visibility of controls of an analogue desk with the power of icon-based graphics and fully recallable settings that can only come from a digital console. The provision of 32 input faders plus a 12-fader master section makes changing layers much less frequent, enhancing the speed of operation, and world-class effects and processing from Lexicon and BSS completes the picture. The Vi6 offers connectivity to almost every type of digital audio format out there, via integration of Studer's D21m modular IO system, and comes complete with a modular remote Stagebox with a choice of either optical or copper connection to the main console.

Smaller But Still Mighty There are two models available in the SSL Live console range, the larger L500 Plus and the more compact L300. Both consoles are perfectly equipped for applications in Touring, Installation, Houses Of Worship and Theatre. At SSL we believe that offering a more compact console should not mean compromising and reducing quality or features. Both consoles offer the same immaculate, huge SSL sound and the same superb operator experience. There are no compromises in build quality and both consoles use and can share the same Remote I/O. The L300 is physically smaller than the L500 Plus, so it is a more compact, lower cost option… with no hidden performance compromises – it’s that simple.

SSL – System T Tempest Control Rack

The Tempest Control Rack (TCR) offers an ideal solution for broadcast environments where a powerful broadcast audio mixer is required but a traditional console is not. The Tempest Control Rack (TCR) offers an ideal solution for broadcast environments where a powerful broadcast audio mixer is required but a traditional console is not. The Tempest Control Rack consists of a 3 RU PC enclosure with an optional retractable 15.6” touchscreen. TCR runs the complete System T control software so acts as a stand-alone control interface for a System T installation. The custom screen mounting system enables the screen to be used at a wide range of angles, allowing the unit to be mounted in a traditional 19” rack or in angled studio furniture. TCR features dual PSU, Primary and Secondary OCP Network Connections, Primary and Secondary Dante Networks connections, Studio Integration Network connections (for Production Automation systems) and SSL Network connectivity for other System T control interfaces or T-SOLSA control from any PC on the network. There are HDMI and DVI-D video outputs, plus front and rear panel USB connections for Keyboard, Mouse and USB storage devices. When combined with a T25 (or T80) Engine, the Tempest Control Rack creates a standalone System T mixer in a rack. This combination is ideal for Production Automation controlled studios or can be combined with SSL Stageboxes to create a ‘Flypack’ for remote production.
