dBTechnologies developed a horn loaded design, while maintaining the size of a front-loaded sub cabinet, resulting in a double advantage: smaller dimension (and weight – only 45,1 kg) and a remarkable lower frequencies response even at a  long distance.

This makes this sub the perfect low-end extension of VIO arrays whenever a particularly long-throw is needed.

Kling & Freitag – VIDA L

The “VIDA L” model is a scalable, controllable and full-range-compatible line array system. VIDA stands for “Versatile Intelligent Digital Array”. Up to eight of these 1-metre modules can be connected to the integrated mechanics. Three different speaker paths are used in the VIDA L, which is equipped with 48 DSP channels and 48 class D power amps.  The very high number of high-frequency drivers and their short mounting distance enable controlled and uniform coverage, even in the upper frequency band. This gives VIDA L a completely new quality in beam steering. The VIDA L module, which is equally suitable for mobile use and permanent installation, is protected by an opaque front grille. Optionally, the 3-way module can be extended with a cardioid module (VIDA C), which significantly improves performance in the low-frequency range and in rear attenuation. The signal feed can be analogue or digital via AES 3 and Dante, with the option of redundant cabling.

The speaker uses a patented design of a 4-inch bass + 3 0.5-inch tweeter coaxial unit. In terms of sound quality, it not only has the characteristics of high phase fidelity of the full-range speaker, but also realizes the output of a more natural sound in the form of a standard point source. At the same time, it also has the powerful expressive power of the crossover speakers in the high and low frequencies, making its sound level more distinct and the sense of detail more prominent. Three tweeters are arranged in a vertical line to form a linear array pattern, which makes the high-frequency horizontal pointing wider and can take care of more areas. The coaxial unit design can reduce the volume of the speaker as much as possible, and the appearance is more compact and elegant.

The speakers use Dante digital audio interface and POE network power supply to drive the power amplifier module. Only one network cable is needed to supply audio signals and power at the same time. In a digital audio system, our product is a terminal node that provides the terminal playback function of a digital audio system.
