DANTE.RAV.SRC.IO is a dual audio network module for the PRODIGY Series and MAVEN.A to interface with 64 channels each of Dante and RAVENNA streams.

One module, two audio engines
Hosting two audio network boards the module offers 2 x 64 of two different audio protocols – Dante and RAVENNA. This allows to interface with two audio protocols in a single A Slot of MAVEN.A or PRODIGY.MC. With the two A Slots of a PRODIGY.MP the coverage can be extended by a third or even fourth audio protocol.

Sample Rate Conversion
Individual HD SRC for bi-directional sample rate conversion is on board as a standard. The PRODIGY and MAVEN Series also offers low latency sample rate conversion (FastSRC) for input and output. The two audio network boards can be operated at different sample rates.

Dual network modules ensure a seamless connection across clock boundaries and different audio protocols on a single module.

RDL RN22

RDL has released a line of five single-gang Dante interfaces. The D Series-RN22 and D Series-RN2ML are 2x2 wall-mounted, bidirectional mic/line Dante interfaces, the D Series-RN12 is a 1x2 wall-mounted, bidirectional mic/line Dante interface and the D Series-RN02 is a 0x2 wall-mounted Dante interface. The fifth model – the D Series-BTN21 wall-mounted Bluetooth Dante interface – will be released soon. The models come with a variety of features that are said to help with installation and configuration, including network control of gain, attenuation, phantom power and channel summing, and additional rear-panel inputs and outputs on detachable wiring blocks. The units are available in multiple finishes including black, white and stainless steel. Custom labels can be created and ordered online, and the interfaces fit a standard US single-gang electrical box or can be used with the RDL EP-1 adapter for mounting in EU/UK back boxes. To support the Dante interfaces, the manufacturer has also added two network remote controls: the D-NMC1R and D-NLC1R. These single-gang wall-mounted controllers allow end users to control a wide range of parameters using a simple rotary knob, including volume, presets, muting and Bluetooth settings. Visual feedback is provided through LEDs on the D-NLC1R or an integrated full-colour LCD display on the D-NMC1R.

With this setup, DANTE users can enjoy the excellent sound quality of both the Titan and Atlas A/D and D/A converters, and their equally well regarded on-board microphone preamplifiers. Titan was recently rated 'the pinnacle of USB recording' with 'fantastic converters and mic pre's' by John Gatski, of Everything Audio Network. Control of the Prism Sound Titan or Atlas units when connected to DANTE is easy. When connected over a network the units are controlled using a dedicated software app that is available for both Mac and Windows. This enables you to control the units from any computer on the network or via its dedicated USB port. The set up information can be stored for instant recall within the dedicated app unlike many third party interfaces whose settings cannot be recalled.
