The SCD1010 is a cost effective Dante Commentary box supporting one commentator. Network connection may be fibre or copper and it has full network redundancy. Microphone amplifier gain and many other adjustments such as phantom power and limit levels may be controlled remotely via the SCD1010's web server. In addition to the commentary box functions there is a built in Dante breakout box with three analogue inputs and six analogue outputs. These inputs and outputs have level controls and may be assigned to local commentary box or network functions, the SCD1010 may even be used as a standalone analogue unit. The SCD1010 can operate at sample rates of 48kHz and 96kHz and may be powered 240V mains, 12 volt or PoE.

Sonifex – AVN-CU4-DANTE

The AVN-CU4-DANTE is a portable commentator unit. Using Dante® AoIP together with 4 wire connections the AVN-CU4-DANTE bridges the gap between old and new technology, allowing the ease of connectivity & functionality of AoIP, together with the legacy connections needed to operate with the existing infrastructure in some stadia and sports grounds. The AVN-CU4-DANTE is a portable commentator unit. Using Dante® AoIP together with 4 wire connections the AVN-CU4-DANTE bridges the gap between old and new technology, allowing the ease of connectivity & functionality of AoIP, together with the legacy connections needed to operate with the existing infrastructure in some stadia and sports grounds. This new Dante® commentary unit has been beautifully designed and is the same size as the existing Sonifex CM-CU1 single 4-wire unit whilst packing in more features. It’s been designed from the ground up to be configurable for different situations with config files that can be saved and recalled for quick setup. Additionally, buttons and rotary encoders can be locked out from use, if the unit is being operated by less-technical commentators. The AVN-CU4-DANTE is a dual version of the AVN-CU2-DANTE providing four mic/line inputs with a wide, adjustable gain range and four stereo headphone outputs with lockable jack sockets, suitable for operation by three or four commentators.

Prodys – Quantum2 W

Quantum2 W is a complete Commentary Unit including 3 mic/line inputs and 3 headphone outputs. Additional sources to its embedded mixers are USB Audio, AES/EBU or AoIP/AES67 (DANTE or Ravenna optional) inputs.

Quantum2 W is an all-in-one box solution for remote commentaries linking two bidirectional audio streams with four independent voices, sounds or mixed audios to the studio or Host Broadcast Center.

Perfect sounds are encoded using a choice of advanced and low delay compression algorithms for sport and music.

Highly reliable transmissions are achieved using Diversity and Bonded streams over a group of network interfaces (2x Ethernet, 2x LTE and Wi-Fi).

Additionally, a video downlink stream can be decoded internally and shown on a general purpose monitor, enriching the information supplied to the talents.

A video video uplink is also possible for the transmission of images from the commentators to the studio.

It also allows to insert audio into the received video and to forward a single synchronised video and audio stream to the studio.
