OPTIMOD 8700i is Orban’s flagship broadcast audio processor for both analog FM transmission and digital media (DAB+/HD Radio/Streaming). Providing 2-band as well as 5-band audio processing structures, the 8700i gives you the industry’s most consistent sound, track-to-track and source-to-source. This consistency allows you to create a sonic signature for your station with the assurance that your signature will stay locked in, uniquely branding your sound.

The OPTIMOD 8700i Audio Processor has exclusive features such as Xponential Loudness™ which brings hyper-compressed music back to life, revealing detail and increasing impact while reducing listening fatigue and distortion. With its Multipath Mitigator phase corrector multipath distortion can be reduced without compromising the stereo separation and thanks to the Subharmonic Synthesizer modern-sounding bass punch can be added to older recordings. It provides you with Orban’s MX limiter technology which lowers distortion, improves transient punch, and minimizes preemphasis-induced high frequency loss. Further outstanding features are the Dante interface which provides dual-redundant AoIP with AES67 support, its digital MPX interface, a built-in streaming server for monitoring purposes and monitored and alarmed dual redundant power supplies as well as safety bypass relays for carefree 24/7 operation.

NST Audio – VMX88

VMX88 delivers all the benefits and experience of our live sound filters and dynamics algorithms in an installation product. The 8 analogue inputs have individual compressors, as well as a 24dB/Oct high pass filter, 8 bands of parametric EQ and up to 1.3 seconds of delay. The full matrix mixer allows mixing of not just the analogue inputs but also 8 channels of Dante networked inputs to any output channel. Audio channels can be routed to the 8 channels of Dante network outputs from multiple stages in the audio chain to give flexibility in system design. All of the 8 analogue outputs have 16 bands of parametric EQ, 48dB/Oct high and low pass filters, up to 1.3 seconds of delay as well as our high performance, two-stage PXL limiters for high performance loudspeaker protection. All analogue audio connections are on Phoenix-type 3-pin 5.08mm pitch connectors. The 4 GPI connections allow configurable actions such as fire alarm mutes and preset recalls. Up to 30 presets can be stored with recall options allowing selective recall combinations of input, matrix and output sections.
