IBC 2016 technology showcase product The MSX 3000 delivers Fairlight’s renowned sound quality for the converged consoles. Its modular design, incorporating cutting edge FPGA technology, delivers a customisable and very cost effective audio I/O solution. Based in a 3RU 19” frame, the MSX 3000 offers up to 21 slots that can be used for a range of different MSX I/O modules. The built in router engine features a 1400 x 1400 matrix with one-to-many patching support, allowing for any routing configuration to be defined. With a wide range of MSX modules available, I/O systems can be tailored exactly to your application. The primary connection to the Fairlight Live Audio Processor is via optical MADI. Multiple MADI cards can be accommodated for high-density racks and for very large configurations, multiple MSX 3000 frames can be deployed.

ARIA OG-AUD2-DANTE

Cobalt® introduces the ARIA OG-AUD2-DANTE card in a openGear® form factor. The COBALT ARIA OG-AUD2-DANTE is a 2x channel unit with 12G SDI and DANTE/ AES/MADI which can simultaneously embed and de-embed audio between SDI, DANTE, AES and MADI with flexible routing and mixing. This card also includes a built-in frame sync. This openGear® card features two gigabit Ethernet ports, and a 32x32 Dante channel matrix mixer. The Cobalt ARIA OG-AUD2-DANTE — High-density, compact openGear® card-based solution, with multiple devices is able to be combined into a single frame for multi-channel operation, as well as offering the standard features of redundant hot-swappable power supplies and hot-swappable cards. Free DashBoard™ software for remote control and configuration.

Symetrix – xIO 4×4

The cost effective xIO 4x4 increases a system’s analog input and output channel capacity resulting in a reduction in overall price per channel. The cost effective xIO 4x4 increases a system’s analog input and output channel capacity resulting in a reduction in overall price per channel. Designed exclusively for use with Dante-enabled Symetrix DSP units, each of the four analog inputs’ parameters (5 gain levels, phantom power) and four analog outputs’ parameters (mute), along with bus assignments, are configured using Symetrix Composer open architecture software. xIO 4x4 set up is logical and fast with no requirement to use third party software; there are no mechanical switches or circuit board jumpers to set. Systems are simpler, cost less, and have fewer potential points of failure. A half-rack form factor conserves rack space, or, if preferred, the xIO 4x4 may be surface mounted. Features
  • Audio input (A/D), output (D/A) expander for systems that capitalizes on the surplus DSP of a Dante-enabled Symetrix DSP unit to bring
  • overall system costs down.
  • 4 mic/line inputs, including +48 VDC phantom power, and 4 line outputs with the industry leading performance specifications of Edge and Radius.
  • Configured with Symetrix Composer. No third party software, archaic DIP switches, or complicated front panel menus.
  • Network audio expansion using Dante protocol over standard IT networks. Ultra low latency.
  • Rack mount and surface mount kits sold separately.
