Innosonix – MA32/D

The MA32 series is a multichannel power amplifier platform featuring the worlds highest channel density in small enclosures. Despite it's compact construction in only 2 rack units, the amplifier delivers a maximum burst power of about 9,000W distributed over 32 channels with 280W each. Despite it's compact construction in only 2 rack units, the amplifier delivers a maximum burst power of about 9,000W distributed over 32 channels with 280W each. Besides DSP features like IIR-Filters, limiters and delays, it also features 2048 Tap FIR Filters per channel. The integrated webserver and TFT display offers the user an intuitive function overview and easy configuration possibility. To provide high reliability and easy maintenance for project installations, the MA32 series features also a Pilot Tone monitoring for each connected speaker. Audio Inputs can be Dante™ (redundant), MADI / AES10 (1x optical, 2x coaxial redundant) and AES3id which can easily be assigned to any of the desired output channels. With the MA32 series we provide the key for cost effective and space-saving 3D-sound installations, live surround sound applications as well as high channel count research projects.

Linea Research – 88C20-Dante

Linea’s 88C Series of eight channel amplifiers are optimised for use in installations. Combining massive power and peerless audio performance with unique DSP, the 88C Series also incorporates many features that ease it’s integration on to both new and legacy systems, the 88C Series represents an unmatched advancement in amplifier technology.

Sharing the same feature set and form factor as Linea's 44C Series of four channel amplifiers the 88C Series is available in models that develop between 400Watts and 2,500 Watts per channel (up to 5,000 Watts for a bridged pair). Unusually these are not, ‘transient’, ‘burst’ or ‘peak’ power figures, they are the power levels that are delivered by all channels simultaneously even when driven with the same dense program material.

With Linea amplifiers there is no need to ration power between channels, you can use all the power you have paid for all the time. This has been independently verified.

Linea can do this because state of the art components and a finely optimised design results in an amplifier that is between 7% and 10% more efficient than any competitive product. This efficiency gain directly translates in to the generation of about half the wasted energy (heat) which is clearly significant. In addition to reducing energy costs high efficiency results in generous power reserves ensuring that pristine sound quality is maintained even under the most extreme conditions.

Ethernet is used for remote control and monitoring while the tamper proof front panel allows easy verification of the operating status and signal levels. Control via Linea’s intuitive Podware PC application provides many convenient and time saving features such as very flexible management of presets, and Overlay grouping of Mutes, Gains, Delays and EQ across an entire system. Control from 3rd party systems is also possible via TCP/IP, RS232 and RS485 while comprehensive relay and contact closure ports ensure that basic control can be achieved very easily.

The advanced 96kHz DSP is fully integrated into the product and provides an array of unique and genuinely useful features. Because all aspects of the DSP algorithms are designed and hand crafted in house by Linea, they are not available on products from any other manufacturer. For example, LIR linear phase crossover filters which are as easy to use as more conventional filter shapes, and have less latency than FIR filters. Also the powerful VX Limiter suite which sports Peak, RMS and Excursion limiting, as well as multiband limiting for passive 2-way enclosures.

Redx – Sapphire III BASE

The Sapphire III is a four-channel audio power amplifier that provides 250W (4 ohms) output power per channel. It can also use bridge mode to provide 500W (8 ohm) two-channel output. Unlike Sapphire II, it adds the latest digital audio processing technology and support for Dante digital network audio transmission technology. Sapphire III BASE is a four-channel audio power amplifier that provides 250W (4 ohms) output power per channel. It can also use bridge mode to provide 500W (8 ohm) two-channel output. Unlike Sapphire II, it adds the latest digital audio processing technology and support for Dante digital network audio transmission technology. It uses the latest SSA Technology and digital audio transmission and processing technologies to create:
  • PSM phase modulation technology, zero crossover distortion
  • Single-stage power conversion is equivalent to the direct use of AC mains power, which is one level lower than traditional class D power amplifiers.
  • Two-way energy recovery system to improve power conversion efficiency and effectively reduce the speaker coil voice temperature
  • ZVS, ZCS Soft Switch Technology, Significantly Reduces Switch Heat, Further Improves Conversion Efficiency
  • Overall efficiency up to 90% ultra high
In the past 100 years, the audio power amplifier topology has undergone Class-A, Class-AB, Class-D, etc., but it has always been a compromise between efficiency and sound quality. To date, SSA Technology has achieved Sapphire III BASE to Class-A sound quality levels with 90% overall system efficiency with its advanced and precise audio modulation technology, single stage power conversion, bidirectional energy recovery and soft switching technology. Really achieved "high efficiency and good voice!" Sapphire III BASE uses the latest digital audio processing and transmission technology, and targeted optimizations have been made. The efficient, reliable, and optimized application design, combined with its Class-A sound quality level, make it widely used in fixed installation systems.
