Glensound – DARK16AO

The DARK16AO provides 16 low noise balanced analogue audio outputs from a Dante network. It features redundant power supplies and a redundant network interface. The DARK16AO is a versatile break out box for receiving analogue audio from a network utilising the Dante® and AES67 audio over IP (AoIP) protocols. In total there are 16 channels of audio being received from the AoIP network and converted via low noise DACs (Digital to Analogue Converters) to balanced analogue outputs. For ease of cabling audio outputs are presented as balanced circuits on Neutrik XLRs. Being designed for resilient broadcast applications the DARK16AO features both redundant power supplies and redundant Dante® network links with link status GPOs (general purpose outputs (solid state relays)). Both primary and secondary network links are provided with both magnetic (copper RJ45) and fibre (SFP) interface connections. The Dante® system itself provides a completely transparent redundant link system which means that if the DARK16AO lost its primary link circuit the secondary link would automatically take over with no loss of audio.

AudioScience – Iyo Dante 8.8MD

The Iyo Dante® is a cost-effective family of microphone/line Dante audio-over-IP (AoIP) interfaces in a 1U rack mount format. The 8.8MD provides 8x8 balanced analog audio inputs and outputs. Each input accommodates microphone through line level signals with a gain range of -60 to +24dBu. +48V phantom power is individually switchable on each input. Output levels are configurable up to +24dBu. With DB-25/AES59 terminations.

RGB LEDs on the Iyo’s front panel show per channel audio levels and streaming status.

The Iyo family feature an embedded web server, allowing configuration and monitoring of input and output levels. Routing is achieved using the Dante Controller.

Power is provided from a built-in universal AC power supply. Redundant power is available using an external 12VDC supply via a locking 2.1mm jack.

All units can also be operated in Livewire+ AES67 interoperability mode.

Whirlwind – ES4R

The ES4 system offers sixteen channels of American made, professional quality microphone preamplification and eight line level return channels via a choice of digital transport formats.  The ES4 system offers sixteen channels of American made, professional quality microphone preamplification and eight line level return channels via a choice of digital transport formats. Each ES4R (receiver) can be configured for Dante® by simply changing the network module in the unit. The exceptional performance, ease of use, and extreme flexibility make the ES4 series products excellent I/O devices for any digital audio network. The typical Whirlwind ES4 system consists of two components: the ES4T transmitter module, which has sixteen balanced mic/line inputs and eight line level outputs. The matching ES4R receiver module has sixteen line level outputs and eight line level inputs. All inputs have variable gain controls and LED level monitoring.
