Thus, the DSM-48DT allows you to receive one stereo audio signal or two mono audio signals from other Dante™-enabled devices which are located in the same subnetwork and to process this/these in the same way as an analogue signal or AES/EBU signal. Speaker management systems featuring analogue inputs as well as outputs and additionally provide a Dante™ interface are called Breakout Boxes. In order to use the DSM‑48DT as a receiver unit, it has to be connected to at least one Fast Ethernet switch (100 Mbps Ethernet).
