Dante Device Link
Dante Device Link is an extensible connector for audio and video device manufacturers that enables control of parameters beyond the Dante media subscription settings. Parameters vary by device type and can include gain, equalizer settings, phantom power enablement, fault detection and more.
Device parameters are managed through the Audinate cloud-based network management software. This broadens options for device configuration and enables manufacturers to adopt Audinate’s investment in cloud infrastructure for device management.
Dante Device Link is provided at no cost to the manufacturer, ensuring easy adoption.

Adopting the Audinate Cloud Infrastructure
Dante devices can be managed remotely when enrolled in the existing Dante cloud infrastructure. Hundreds of devices can be routed together, monitored for network issues and secured through the cloud ecosystem. Dante Device Link extends that capability to additional device parameters and control.
For manufacturers who may not want to build bespoke and isolated management tools, Dante Device Link offers a convenient way to adopt cloud-based strategy by taking advantage of the existing Audinate investment.
All Dante devices can already be enrolled in Dante Director for enhanced management and control. With Dante Device Link, manufacturers can extend control to many other device-level parameters that aren’t traditionally covered by Dante. This extension provides a level of control and management that can alleviate the need for additional cloud-software development by the manufacturer.
For manufacturers who already have management tools, parameters enabled by Dante Device Link are easily integrated using the Dante Managed API.
Configuration Management
As the ecosystem built around devices supported by Dante Device Link matures, new customer configuration options become available.
- Scene-based system configurations, allowing Dante rooms to be swapped between presets, simplifying system versatility.
- Configuration templates, allowing routing and AV settings to be replicated throughout common room configurations, accelerating system deployment.
- Recovery or replacement of AV system configurations in the case of system outages or device failures, reducing downtime.
