Resolving duplicate UUIDs in Q-SYS Cores for DDM or Dante Director
A historical issue in Q-SYS Designer can result in enrolment failure or instability in DDM or Dante Director, due to duplicate Dante UUIDs.
This issue is caused when Q-SYS design files are shared between cores, causing the Dante UUID to be duplicated along with the design file.
The UUID is used by DDM and Dante Director to uniquely identify a device. Duplicate UUIDs can cause devices to fail to enrol, or to continually disconnect and reconnect.
UUIDs are only used in DDM and Dante Director, so this issue does not affect Q-SYS Cores used in unmanaged mode.
This issue has been fixed in Q-SYS Designer from versions 9.12 / v9.4.7 LTS however design files created on earlier versions can still be affected, even if they are being applied in a later version.
