Do I need Dante Controller?

If you are using Dante enabled devices or Dante software such as the Dante Virtual Soundcard or Dante Via, you will need the Dante Controller software to create subscriptions between your these.

Dante Controller is a free application that can be downloaded from our Software Downloads page.

Once the connections and routes are initially set up, Dante Controller does not need to be running and the machine running the software can be removed from the network. You will only need to reconnect Dante Controller to the system to change or add subscriptions or monitor the network, including Dante network troubleshooting.
