Do I need a password/passphrase to encrypt Dante devices?

The network manager, such as Dante Director, securely distributes all the encryption keys required in the protection of media flows, and allows a network administrator to set the encryption policies for devices within the network. Access to Dante Director requires the authentication of authorised users with a unique username and password. This may be via an organisation’s Single Sign-On (SSO) when using Dante Director Professional.

Dante media encryption does not require passwords or passphrases to be manually provided to each endpoint.
