New known issues (v1.4.1.3)
- None
Pre-existing known issues (v1.4.0.5)
- DS-2125: Via doesn’t show up in Dante Controller immediately after the valid interface is selected for the first time
- DS-1859: Audio takes a long time to start after a user logs in to a macOS computer
- DS-2130: If after a computer reboot an audio application starts playing audio before Via, Via will not send or receive audio for that application. Workaround: Restart Via.
- DS-2270: Via audio occasionally fails to recover after restarting Via. Workaround: Change the default audio device to another output and then switch it back to Via. This restores audio output.
- DS-2135: Dante Devices enrolled in Director do not reappear in Via if the Ethernet cable is unplugged and the interface is changed. Workaround: Restart Via.
- DS-2239: Audio Devices do not always enable automatically when ‘Make Audio Devices available on the Network automatically’ is checked. Workaround: Enable the audio devices manually if they are not already enabled.
- VIA-2354: Duplicate application names can cause duplicate channels on the Dante network.
- VIA-2641: Subscriptions between Dante Via devices may not automatically recover after rebooting DDM. Workaround: Resubscribe the affected channels.
- VIA-2642: Enrolled Dante Via starts up unenrolled if restarted with DDM offline. Workaround: Stop and restart Dante Via.
- VIA-2171: On OS X 10.9.5, Dante Via does not automatically become the default audio device after installation. Workaround: After installing Dante Via on OS X 10.9.5, manually set Dante Via as the default output and input devices in the System Sound Preferences.
- VIA-2639: When enrolled in a domain, Dante Via might not display the correct domain manager hostname if it has changed.
- VIA-2638: When enrolled in a domain, application icons may not appear if Dante Via is on a different subnet.
- VIA-2612: When two (or more) network interfaces are available on the computer, Dante Via may still appear on the network that is not currently selected.
- VIA-2583: Listening device names may be truncated for long lists of audio sources.
- VIA-2582: Application icons in a multi-channel device are sometimes not displayed correctly if subscribed from Dante Controller.
- SODA-886: On some older machines running macOS 11, the Dante Via soundcard may not be available after a reboot. To fix, Stop and Start Dante Via.
- SODA-972: Unable to get clock synchronisation using the built-in 10GbE connection on some Mac Minis. Another interface can be used instead.
- SODA-1016: Sometimes a network device subscription to an application will show as “Unresolved: Cannot find this channel on the network”. To fix, restart the application.
Audinate’s Support for Inclusive Language
To our customers: some of the terminology used in Dante products has been changed to align with modern usage. Specifically, areas related to Dante clocking now refer to “Primary Leader Clock”, “Leader Clocks” and “Follower Clocks” to describe the functions of each role more clearly.
