Dante Controller v4.16.0 package delivers a range of new features, including significant user interface enhancements, improved support for Dante Director, and improved support for Dante AV devices.
The installer includes 3 applications: Dante Controller v4.16.0, Dante Updater v2.8.3 and Dante Activator v2.7.1.

Requirements
All operating systems should be updated to the latest available version.
Note: Dante Controller requires 64-bit capable hardware.
Notes
Installing or Updating Dante Controller
To install Dante Controller you will need to be logged on with administrator privileges.
Note: You do not need to uninstall the previous version before installing this update.
To install Dante Controller:
- Ensure you are logged on to your computer as an administrator.
- Navigate to and double-click the downloaded Dante Controller installer file.
- Read the license agreement. If you agree to the terms, select the ‘I agree’ checkbox and click Install.
- If you do not agree to the terms, click Close.
- Confirm / acknowledge any Windows security prompts that are displayed.

- UI Enhancements:
- Swap Routing View axes (available in the View menu)
- Network View size can be customised by the user (available in the View menu)
- Ability to copy and paste channel names and subscriptions from one device to another, or to a text file (in Device View)
- Improve compatibility with Dante Director:
- Persistent Login to Dante Director from Dante Controller
- Improved communication between Dante Controller and Dante Director (reduced firewall configuration requirements, plus compatibility with standard security software)
- Encryption status reporting – additional status reporting for encrypted flows
- Improved support for Dante AV Ultra – new Video Config tabs for AV Ultra devices. HDMI input and output status tabs, TX Video processing tab for configuring video flow bandwidth, and RX Video processing tab for enabling fast-switching and configuring output video resolution
- Support for Dante AV-A USB, AV-A IR and AV-A serial ancillary data types in the Advanced Filter

- CM-1424: DDM interop: The ‘Create Multicast Flow’ dialog incorrectly reports support for 64 channels / flow for SMPTE configs that only support 8.
- CM-1432: DDM interop: Dante Controller shows SMPTE clock domains 1, 2 and 3 as sample rate pull-up clock domains in the clocking status tab.

Audinate’s Support for Inclusive Language
To our customers: some of the terminology used in Dante products has been changed to align with modern usage. Specifically, areas related to Dante clocking now refer to “Primary Leader Clock”, “Leader Clocks” and “Follower Clocks” to describe the functions of each role more clearly.
