What happens if the Leader Clock goes off-line?

Typically, audio will continue to flow and a backup leader clock will take over. If the leader clock fails for any reason, a new leader clock will be chosen from the existing followers within a few seconds. The transition from one leader clock to the other does not result in any loss of audio. The follower devices free run during the period of leader clock transition.However, if either or both of the existing and new leader clock devices are deriving their clock from an external source (‘Enable sync to external’ in Dante Controller), in the event of a leader clock change, audio will be temporarily muted until all devices are resynchronized to the new clock source.
