Outline’s Newton is the next generation in audio system control and networking. Newton advances the management of sophisticated audio systems by combining new filter technology, multi-format audio signal routing, multi-format standards conversion and digital signal synchronisation in a single 1RU networkable chassis.

Each Newton processor combines powerful WFIR filters (unique to Outline), clock management and a very high number of input and output channels (216 x 216). Internal synchronous and asynchronous sample rate converters manage all I/O operations and Newton can be synchronised with any one of the 14 choices of clock sources. Mix and Match Matrix I/O routing allows translation and re-distribution of digital audio over multiple standards simultaneously.

Combining power and flexibility with an easy to use control interface, Newton forms the nucleus of next generation audio systems. Multiple Newton devices are easily interconnected to form a network that is scalable to meet all audio applications. Powerful processing features and multiple audio network standards combine to make Newton the ideal control core for any audio system from Touring to Live Broadcast Events and Fixed Installations.

While Newton 16 is an all-digital device, Newton 16+4 adds the useful capability of local analog inputs and outputs.

Newton 16+4 adds 4 auxiliary analog inputs and outputs. Each analog input is also provided with additional processing and matrix allowing inputs to be processed, routed and mixed into the main matrix. All three versions of Newton share the same motherboard and it is possible to upgrade from Newton 16 to Newton 16+4.

The Advanced System Controller from Linea Research is a high performance and easy to use signal processor for sound systems. With processing for 4 inputs and 8 outputs it takes advantage of the latest analogue to digital conversion and DSP technologies to deliver flawless audio that out classes it's competition. The advanced 96kHz DSP provides an array of unique and genuinely useful features. Because all aspects of the DSP algorithms are designed and hand crafted in house by Linea, they are not available on products from any other manufacturer. For example, LIR linear phase crossover filters which are as easy to use as more conventional filter shapes, and have less latency than FIR filters. Also the powerful VX Limiter suite which sports Peak, RMS and Excursion limiting, as well as multiband limiting for passive 2-way enclosures. Supporting analogue AES3 and Dante inputs and having both analogue and AES3 outputs, all under full remote control, makes the ASC48 suitable for use in the most demanding applications, especially when flexibility is paramount. When used as a loudspeaker management system or digital crossover, the ASC48 brings state-of-the-art facilities and performance, however the ability to receive, process and transmit audio without it leaving the digital domain makes the ASC48 an ideal central controller for large systems, even when amplifiers with in-built DSP are being employed. Ethernet is used for remote control while a front panel, optimised for use in challenging environments, allows full local control of all features. Control via Linea’s intuitive Podware PC application provides many convenient and time saving features such as very flexible management of presets, and Overlay grouping of Mutes, Gains, Delays and EQ across an entire system. The Extron DMP 64 Plus series of compact Digital Matrix Processors features six DSP input channels with AEC, in only a half rack space. With a flexible mix matrix, a USB audio interface, and 6x4 analog connectivity, the DMP 64 Plus provides the ability to easily connect and route signals to accommodate system requirements. The AT models can be powered by PoE+ and provide 32x16 Dante connectivity for popular Dante microphone arrays, and other Dante devices, while the V models include up to eight VoIP lines for collaboration applications. Featuring an ACP bus for audio control panels, an expansion port for bidirectional digital audio connection with a DTP CrossPoint® or another DMP, eight audio file players, and configurable macros, the DMP 64 Plus can be used in a wide variety of smaller systems.

Four models - The DMP 64 Plus offers signal routing and management for a wide range of sound system applications:

32x16 Dante audio networking with Dante Domain Manager and AES67 support — Dante audio networking provides scalability for creating larger audio matrixes over a local area network using standard protocols. A built in two port Gigabit switch can be configured to support primary and redundant Dante audio networks.
Six channels of AEC - acoustic echo cancellation — The DMP 64 Plus includes six independent channels of high performance AEC, as well as selectable noise cancellation. Extron AEC features advanced algorithms that deliver fast echo canceler convergence for optimal intelligibility in situations that challenge AEC performance.
Ability to be powered over PoE+ on AT models
All models include a USB Audio interface, providing up to four channels of digital audio sends and returns — Support for USB Audio simplifies implementation of systems with either soft-codec conferencing or computer-based audio and enables use of the same interface for both small and large scale systems.
V model includes up to eight VoIP lines that support generic Session Initiation Protocol - SIP 2.0 connectivity per RFC 3261— The DMP 64 Plus C V AT is compatible with select VoIP systems and can be used for a single VoIP line or as a VoIP farm for up to eight rooms:
- VoIP configuration via onboard web page separates AV and IT workflows
- Flexible local conference calling with Extron exclusive independent audio processing and control per call - level, mute, hold, and hang-up per caller
- Onboard SIP logging eliminates the need for network capture software
