Device Enrollment Known Issues
- If a device is manually enrolled by IP address, discovery will be permanently disabled in the device until the device Domain Credentials have been cleared using Dante Controller. This results in devices becoming undiscoverable if trying to use DNS-SD i.e. the device no longer sends DNS queries. This is slated to be fixed in future Dante device firmware versions.
- If the DDM server’s IP address changes, enrolled devices will show as offline as the devices are referencing the DDM server’s old IP address. In future Dante device firmware versions the devices are slated to reference the server’s FQDN.
- If enabling High Availability, the cluster must be set up first so devices enrolled reference the Cluster’s Virtual IP address and not the Standalone node’s IP address. If devices are referencing the Standalone node’s IP address, if there is a failover to the HA Only node they will show as offline.
- Software-based Dante QSC devices do not currently support manual enrollment by IP address.
