Dante Mastery Class

Dante Mastery is the highest level of Dante Certification. It’s a 4-day, in-person, hands-on class for system designers specifying Dante into their projects and technicians operating Dante networks in the field. Participants must have completed Dante Levels 1, 2, and 3 (3rd Edition) prior to attending the Dante Mastery class. The cost for the Dante Mastery class is £1175 GBP (for the Cambridge, UK class).

The Dante Certification program teaches the concepts and vocabulary of the Dante Platform. Dante Mastery focuses on putting that knowledge into practice through intensive labs using Dante-enabled audio and video hardware. Participants complete a structured set of exercises that reinforce correct configuration, while other exercises intentionally introduce issues, so problems are easier to recognize and resolve in the field.

A systematic troubleshooting approach is applied repeatedly throughout the week. The class begins with participants setting up a small, isolated Dante network at their desk. Participants then connect their isolated classroom networks together, revealing challenges with device organization, network scalability and management as the network grows. Participants also learn to optimize switches for Dante traffic.

Participants also work with Dante management tools used in enterprise deployments, including Dante Domain Manager and Dante Director. Instructors demonstrate the installation of Dante Domain Manager, after which participants secure their networks through domain enrollment and user access control. The various networks are then clocked together, and media is shared between them. Finally, participants configure routing on their switches to create a Layer 3 network, enabling Dante devices to route between subnets. The class concludes with written and hands-on assessments that validate the skills developed throughout the 4-day class.

What to Bring
Attendees are required to bring a macOS 12/13/14/15 or Windows 10/11 laptop. The laptop should have:

• an RJ45 wired Ethernet port, or a dock/adapter that adds the port
• an additional USB-A or USB-C port to connect an AVIO adapter provided during class
• the latest version of Dante Controller installed

Food
Audinate will provide a light breakfast and lunch each day and will host a dinner for the entire class one night during the week.
