Beyond the Protocol: What Actually Determines AV Networking Success

AV-over-IP protocols like Dante are highly reliable, but long-term success is determined by how systems are operated day to day. This session focuses on using Dante Controller to understand, manage, and troubleshoot live systems. Attendees will learn how visibility into flows, clocking, and device behavior directly impacts performance, along with practical approaches to organizing systems and resolving issues efficiently. Additional tools such as Dante Director will be discussed in the context of extending management and access control for larger or distributed deployments.

“Inside Dante Deployments at the World’s Largest Events.”

What does it take to deliver flawless networked audio in front of 100 million viewers? In this session, Kirk Powell of ATK Audiotek (a Clair Global Brand), the team behind audio for the Super Bowl, Formula 1, and some of the largest live events on the planet, pulls back the curtain on what large-scale Dante deployments actually look like under extreme pressure. From network architecture decisions to the real-time problem solving that happens when everything is on the line, Kirk shares hard-won lessons from decades at the top of live sound reinforcement. Whether you’re deploying your first large Dante network or refining an existing deployment, this is a rare chance to learn from someone who operates where the margin for error is zero.

“Designing Converged Dante Networks That Scale”

As AV systems grow, network design must evolve to support increased channel counts, device density, and operational complexity. This session focuses on scalable design principles for converged Dante networks, including segmentation strategies, multicast management and redundancy models. Attendees will leave with practical frameworks for designing systems that perform reliably today while accommodating future growth.
