We invite you to join us for Dante training on December 7 at LDI 2024 in Las Vegas. We will be offering three classes during the day, including Level 1 & 2 Dante Certification training, plus a special class focusing on Dante AV.

Dante Certification, Second Edition Level 1

10AM – 12PM
Course Level: Beginner
Capacity: 60 People

This training introduces attendees to the Dante platform. It offers fundamental knowledge on digital audio, network addressing and how to use Dante Controller with your Dante devices. This course provides enough knowledge to operate a Dante system in daisy chain mode or with a single network switch.

Accreditation: 3.0 AVIXA CTS RU Credits
Requirements: Pass the Dante Level 1 Certification test after the course to become certified.

Upon completion, attendees will:

• be able to design, setup and operate a Dante audio/video system on a single network switch.
• gain an improved understanding of fundamentals in digital audio, digital video, and networking.

be able to explain the benefits of a complete networked solution as opposed to point-to-point connections, digital snakes or “AVoIP protocols”.

Dante Certification, Second Edition Level 2

1PM – 3:30PM
Course Level: Intermediate
Capacity: 60 People

Dante Certification Level 2 offers a deeper explanation of how to create larger networks. This class offers insights on how much bandwidth is used, how to manage it, basic optimization, and factors to consider if you want to synchronize to an external clock. Level 2 is helpful for those working on systems that will involve multiple network switches.

Requirements: Pass the Dante Level 2 Certification test after to become certified.

Upon completion, attendees will:

• be able to design, set up, operate, and troubleshoot a Dante audio/video system that spans multiple network switches.
• obtain increased confidence in networking and the underlying principles to build truly robust, reliable systems.
• gain an understanding of networking that should foster informed conversations with IT departments.

An Introduction/Demonstration of Dante AV Video

4:00PM – 5:00PM
Course Level: Intermediate
Capacity: 60 People

Attendees with audio or video backgrounds will each get something different from this course. Those with audio backgrounds will learn fundamentals of video transmission, from basic synchronization to video compression and how Dante AV produces broadcast quality, visually lossless images across a variety of signal types. Those with video backgrounds will appreciate seeing live demonstrations of Dante AV systems not just with beautify imagery but demonstrating the tight synchronization and performance on simple 1Gbps switches.
