Dante Mastery Class, Technician
Start Date: Monday, 3 March 2025 9:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST)
End Date: Thursday, 6 March 2025 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST)
The Dante Mastery class is a 4-day, in-person, hands-on class for system designers specifying Dante into their projects and technicians operating Dante networks in the field. Participants must have completed Dante Levels 1, 2 and 3 (2nd Edition) prior to attending the Dante Mastery class. The cost for the Dante Mastery class is $1499 USD (for the Portland, OR class).
The Dante Certification Program teaches the concepts, theory and vocabulary around the Dante Platform. The Dante Mastery class is all about putting that theoretical knowledge into practice with hands-on exercises. Some exercises will have students configure their network correctly, while other exercises intentionally break the system in a variety of ways so that students can recognize problems more readily in the field. The class teaches a systematic approach to troubleshooting Dante networks that will be applied repeatedly throughout the week.
The class begins with students setting up a small, isolated Dante network at their desk. Students then connect all of their isolated classroom networks together, revealing challenges with device organization, network scalability, management and monitoring. Students also learn to optimize their switch for Dante traffic.
The instructors will then demonstrate the installation of Dante Domain Manager, after which students will secure their system by enrolling devices into domains. The various systems will be clocked together, and media will be shared between them. Finally, students will configure routing on their switches to create a layer 3 network and the Dante devices will adjust to route between subnets.
The class concludes with multiple choice and hands-on assessments, recreating everything covered throughout the 4-day class.
